nothing wrong with a tokarev pistol, 9mm ammo is cheap as well. Would u be happier paying $199 instead? didnt think so...........

I prefer mine in the 7.62X25 configuration...hot damn is that ever a fun caliber! I'd like to see more guns available in this caliber. But buy this one in 9mm? Nope. However, I would recommend it to someone who is looking for cheap and strong as a first time pistol.

Looks almost like a copy of 1911!!!

if it worked for the Russians and it is $99? why not try it out the toc is not a piece of crap. What can you get for $99 these days? Maybe it will get more people to justify spending money on a pistol. Not everyone wants to fork out hundreds of dollars on restricted pistol.

Not a bad way to get a restricted into my safe.

In fact, I will probably do the handgun course at my club (in order to get an ATT) and make this my first purchase.

Then I will be a fellow handgunner. :)

The most appealing thing is the relative cost, for my first handgun, I don't need anything special.

Thanks for the link.

$99...I'd be scared to shoot it...sort of like the Lorcin and Raven pieces of shi$t junk guns from the USA.

This design has been around since at least the 1940's Millions were made in 7.62x25, it's a Soviet 1911 built like a brick sh*thouse.

Santa is going to bring me one.:) Probably okay for s**tzengiggles, and for a guinea pig in bluing/stoning/polishing.
You may also end up being the guinea pig in picking pieces of steel out of your teeth when this POS explodes in your hands. Personally, I wouldn't even stand next to someone shooting a $99 pistol.

The US obliges these pistols to have after-market safeties added. They don't work well or are difficult to use.
The 9mm Tok cannot be switched to 7.62x25 but the 7.62 Toks can go to 9mm. Not worth buying unless one has no pistol and wants to get R on his PAL.

Why couldn't you throw a 7.62x25 barrel in it?
It's from China, I'm sure they didn't design a new pistol, they likely just dropped a 9mm barrel in there......

US Reviews seem mostly positive from what I've found. Costs more down there due to the norc import ban. Apparently it's better without the safety.

Tempting for my first pistol but i think i'll put my money towards a glock.

Personally, for me (a total pistol newbie), my question is: how would this $99Norc M213 differ from Marstar's $199 Norc M201? Aside from the M213 being a few grams lighter, anyone knows if there's any difference?

Lou

I searched this site but didn't find anything about it.

Its very tempting, I don't have any handguns so $99 its pretty good. Its ugly as hell though and may not have a safety lol.

They're better without the safety. The original military pistol doesn't have one, it is an add on for the civilian market.
