Quebec CFO called my GF today and asked if it was ok for me to buy a gun ?!!?!
Now she is pissed I didn't asked for pre-authorisation from her!!!
Now I will have to explain the other 2 on my second order before they call again, one will be hard enough but three of the same gun.... oh well, at least they are going to be here soon.

Is this the first time the CFO has called on a restricted firearm purchase or is this normal procedure for the Quebec CFO?

I don't recall them ever calling before, they did not on my last non-restricted last year.

They insisted on the term "semi-automatic restricted firearm.." and left a number in case she changed her mind.

It was the Surete du Quebec that called not the RCMP.
She almost told them to buzz off because she had just hang up the phone with a co-worker going through the RCMP recruiting process and he wanted to pretend to be the RCMP when he called, so she almost thought that the SQ call was a prank.

I told her about the other 2, so it looks like the storm has been weathered.

Oh ya, so much fun for 99$ , that must be why I ordered 3 I am a true sucker for punishment, since pain can be fun
