Man just seen MAC on YouTube and he was giving his review on the Beretta ARX100! Does anyone know if this is a NR here or when is it coming! All polymer and looks pretty mean! Retails in the US for 2g's so guessing we will be paying 2500 or more!

One has been with the RCMP for a while for classification. after watching the Mac video I lost all interest. You can only use usgi style mags. Pmags won't lock in. I think the gen 2 p mags might work.

From the factory, it has a 16" barrel so if the RCMP approve it for sale, it'll be restricted. Naturally, you will have the option of rebarreling it to NR status.

Nope...

Stoger Canada has submitted an over 18" version for classification as Non-Restricted to the RCMP. It would be imported as such.

They have had several meetings with the RCMP for the ARX. If all goes well we should see a NR classification at some point in the future.

After watching the video and by Mac's expression he didn't seem to like it very much. First its too expensive and there's nothing really new about it.

I would pass on it if the rifle came to Canada.

18.5 inch barrel was submitted early last year for non restricted classification. Probaly next year some time we get these aproved and imported here. Hopefully before Turdeau takes power.

I'm on the fence about this one. The body looks like it came out of the Nerf factory. I'm not left handed so the switchover charging handle is cool but not that useful for me. I have a bunch of USGI magazines so meh on that one. The barrel looks pretty long on the 16"version Tim's got. I had an 858 before and the long barrel + the long bulky receiver really added a lot of length to the rifle. This one looks like it'll be that way too. Looks reliable. The price seems to be pretty high for what you're getting though. I'll have to wait and see what the pricing is once it's available here but from what I see right now I think I would have to come into money to be able to justify getting one.

Well wen I first say the gun from reviews at shot I was kinda interested.

Now well there's alot of things that kinda bother me with the gun, I have no prob with polymer, but not a 90% polymer gun. I don't want to shoot a 223 that feels like a archangel 10/22 kit; did you see that magwell bend in the video?

Only usgi mags ( and gen2 pmags maybe! ?) Come on that's worst then the t97

Looks about as fun as a benelli mr1 to disassemble, minus the barrel.

Colm height over bore... well I am not 2 shure what to think about it, it seems to be closser to the barrel then a ar witch could be good , but with that it alienate itself from all the other ar platform and all the other's with ar type mounting witch creates problems with optics like acogs, elcan, burris ar 332 and 532 and a couple others.

The ambidextrous stuff is cool but it's not like it's going to be the only cool kid in town ( read fs2000, rfb , rdb and m43)

Some will like it some will love it and some will take a pass. I will probably be the latter, and for me I am much much more exited about kel-tec rdb, to me it will do all the same thing in a more compact package minus the qd barrel with more optic and mag versatility. And quite honestly the hole " its ben deployed by a military" thing it's no big deal to me, to them most the time it's not only " is it the best" it's about cost and political motivation.

All this being said, I am still eagerly awaiting cgn reviews. ;)

I've been interested in this one for a while now. It has the potential to be what the ACR only promises. If they don't Bushmaster the ARX100 then I have a lot of hope for it. I recall an early video showing pretty amazing accuracy. Looking forward to seeing how these pan out. Will likely pick one up if the price is reasonable.

I think that was the receiver itself, but without the lower attached. I imagine with the lower in place it is as stiff as necessary. Just guessing though.

I'm sure he'd want them confiscated, along with all the scary ones.

I saw MAC's review this weekend, and frankly the mags issue and the flimsy bendable plastic really stuck to me. My tavor is plastic and it certainly does not bend like that.

Although it seems to cycle well and recoil looked to be very minimal, we still have no idea on accurary.

I was expecting a lot better, a bit of a downer this one.

I really wanted one when I first heard about them 3 years back. After seeing the suggested retail in the US I was put off almost immediately (since I can assume the price up here will be close to $3K). I also believe the 18.5" barrel will be ungainly and there is little being brought to the table with this platform that warrants the premium pricetag -- except that it is NR -- but there are already a number of similar platforms on the market. I believe it will be very tough a sell in the US at the $2K price point except to the Beretta faithful.

It's not nr. Nor is it restricted or prohibited. It's nothing yet!

Cool, hadn't heard that. Good to hear Stoeger Canada is looking after us.
