Wow, crap day at the range for the wife and I.

Just wondering...were these pistols dry or lubed prior to range day? My GSG's eat everything I throw at them, unless I froglube them. Big trouble, Big frustrations with lube or grease on them until they wear in a lot, like at least 10,000 rounds a lot!

I've run this M-22 and every other bulk pack ammo you could name with little trouble so long as the guns are basically dry when shooting. My advise is to clean them, lube them with gun oil sparingly to store, then wipe them down before you head to the range again.

My GSG eats everything including M-22. When it was new it was a jam o magic with Winchester ammo until I broke it in with about 1200 mini mags & stingers. If yours is old and has a high round count maybe it is a bad batch of ammo, but if it's new or dirty you might just need to clean it up or refer to YouTube for how to speed up the break in process.

Just traded my gsg, no issues at all..Broke in with minimags, then copper washed fed bulk all the way....how new is your gsg? May be worth polishing the feed ramp.....

I used to buy into the breaking in my new 22 auto pistol thing until I bought my S&W M&P22 and I am telling you it eats everything all the time right out of the box, no break in period no fussy ammo just bang bang bang, next to the ruger MK2 I had it is the best 22 I have ever owned and I have had a few lemons ahem, GSG, ISSC, Browning this gun rocks!!!!! sorry not to take away from your ammo problem

Sorry about the bad range day. I have a Browning 1911-22, and I have used every kind of 22LR bullet I can find, and have never had any problems of any kind. I typically fire 500 rounds through it per range trip, and it has never had any kind of failure with any of the ammo I have tried with it.

Part of the problem is the Sig Sauer Mosquito, they tend to be a very fussy gun with ammo. I know when I had mine the only thing it worked well with everytime was CCI mine Mags.

On the other hand my GSG 1911 worked well with all kinds of ammo.

My Sig was the same plus other problems I sold it..

I found winchester m-22 ammo to be EXTREMELY dirty. After about 100 rounds, my son's single shot would not extract because of all the crap gumming up the extractor. My ruger 22/45 and nylon 66 were both so dirty that i started to get fte after a similar number of rounds.

I added the enhancement kit from BlueLine that included a spring, guide rod and tapered barrel end and have put over 1000 rounds through without a fail to feed even with the federal 36 grain bulk pack(525 count), I think it was called"ZRT package. Prior to adding the kit I would have a failure every 50 rounds. I wish my CZ Shadow with the Kadet 2 conversion would eat cheap ammo like my GSG.

I got it late last year. And until this last time no problems at all with M-22. And in response to previous posts about it being wet or dry, it was lightly oiled the night before.

We've got 2 S&W's, a 41 and a 17; the club buys bulk Winchester for whenever something is going-on like Open House, Ladies' Day &c. The 41 hates the stuff - I've seen 3 duds in one mag. The 17 gobbles it up, and will even fire-off the rounds that dudded in the 41, no problem. But everybody complains about the Winchester .22 ammo; we shoot Federal and CCI, and I've never had even a single problem with either.

Wish I could still get CIL...
