Read up on the US Antique laws and other than the guy's assertions that it was from the 1800's (1960 through 1980's more likely, but quite possibly a recent bring-back from the sandbox areas.) the pictures are pretty much telling me that the ,<cough> "gun" is strictly decorative, at least if you wanted to build yourself a particularly ugly "Tourism India" themed gun room.
Should have New Delhi Streetcorner Waterpipe Barrel Co. proof mark on it, under the barrel eh? That would be the smooth part that they didn't bother to put any work into making it look antique-ish, where it wouldn't be seen!
