I don't know about you guys, but I've been browsing the web for about 2 years now in regards to black powder pistols, revolvers, etc. All kinds of stuff, used for sale, things found, museum pieces, etc, but there was one find tonight that I saw at milarm that blew me away.

They have an original 1880 SAA colt that is in MINT condition on there! Is the longer 7.5" barrel I believe, but I have never, ever seen one in such pristene condition ever.

Its going for 3600$ right now, but if I had that kind of dough to spare, I'd probably jump on it if it had an appraisal sheet.

Its under weekly specials if any of you are interested to know.


Have any of you guys seen anything like this before?
I think its pretty darn rare.. but I could be wrong.

While it is in very fine condition, there is no way it could be described as "pristine".

Here is a pic of three Colts.
TOP: Colt SAA 1st Generation in 38-40 with 4 3/4" barrel (Frontier)
Stag handles with all matching serials and Colt letter

Middle: Colt SAA 1st Generation in 45LC with 5 1/2" barrel
Stag handles with all matching serials and Colt letter

Bottom: Colt SAA 1st Generation in 45LC with 7 1/2" barrel
Large amount of blue with all matching serials and Colt letter.

This bottom Colt is my favorate as it dates to 1906 and was shipped to
Copper Queen Mining Co in Bisbee, Territory of Arizona.
Bisbee is near Tombstone so there is a good chance this gun was carried
in the legendary Tombstone Arizona
