The AMT Lightning was a direct clone of the Ruger 10/22 in a Butler Creek folding stock except the receiver was made of stainless steel instead of aluminum.
They were sued back in the 80's by Ruger for design infringements and had to cease production.
Back then you could have bought a brand new AMT SS receiver was $89
Wish I had a few of them now.........:rolleyes:

With the chopped barrel I believe it would be prohibited.
I think you are correct guntech.(or at least restricted)
Something about 26 and whatever inches, or less, in a firing condition or such?

My guess is an 11.5 inch barrel might meet the shortest limit. And that with a fixed stock of ample length. I could be wrong on this fact though.
