Yeah nice, one of the best looking shotguns and a good price. To remove those heat shields does the front sight have to come off?.
As for the naming, I was confused too. I guess it's a higher end model in the Martial series? It's listed as a 14" Martial Pro Forces. Anyway, I'm not complaining as it's friggin' gorgeous..

IThe only thing I didn't like was the pistol grip stock, which is why I have the standard stocked Pistola that I kept.![]()
Love pistol grip stocks, even put one on my Mossy shorty and the OEM stock is in the spare parts bin. Only thing I'm doing to the Fabarm is putting shells into it and buying the brake & chokes. I like everything about it.
Why would you? If you paid that kind of money for that SG, I'm sure he wanted it to begin with.
Cause I ordered the long version of that gun online with no heat shield and it arrived with one installed. I'm not complaining as it's an extra feature but it makes it kinda clunky feeling, I tried to remove it without scratching the barrel so that's why I was wondering. The barrel is tapered so sliding it back doesn't look like it will work if removed(but I'll have to re-examine), sliding it forward doesn't work because of the sight and the heat shield slot for it is to short, and prying it up would leave a mess, I was just wondering what the method was before I tackle it again.
I bought one two years ago and to be honest did not really like it. Found my 870 was way smoother and just easier to work with, but they sure are nice looking. I really wanted to like it but just kept going back to the 870 or Mossberg. Lets us know what you think after a few hundred rounds!
What era 870 are you praising? Cause every mossy/remmy I've racked feels like a gravel road compared to my fabarm 14. Not even remotely comparable.
We should have at least one of each!! HahahahaI'm a Mossberg guy and I agree. All my Mossy's are smooth but have the normal (for Mossberg) forearm wobble. The Fabarm is smooth and doesn't have the play that the Mossy has. Haven't shot a Remmy in a while so I can't compare, but I doubt the smoothness will compare other than on the Police or Wingmaster model.
If anyone likes the others better, no big deal. My Mossberg's won't be going anywhere. Who says you only need one
Shotgun?
...Love mine! Get an Aimpoint on that! Super fast to acquire targets!
I put a full choke on mine. It's VERY accurate with slugs.
I thought about removing the shield, but it hardly weighs anything, and besides, when you are blasting away a lot of slugs, a little extra weight is not unwelcome.
I've also gone back to the regular stock - I find that I'm not a huge fan of pistol gripped shotguns.

Kapow! My Pistola (11" barrel), with a Martial pistol grip stock. I love it!
What's the OAL of the 11" Pistola? I'm assuming it's NR...

If you're thinking about using a single point bungee sling (on these SGs) you better be wearing a cup…..Love pistol grip stocks, even put one on my Mossy shorty
