Looks like gas block isn't pinned or something.

Terrible considering the price of these.

Thankfully they wrote a huge KODIAK DEFENSE and other info as hugely all over the receiver so we know where its from.

Yeah... I'm pretty bummed. I wanted to support canadian made guns, i really wanted it to be good, but this particular company is about as reliable as our government

Doesnt even look like the barrel was notched for the roll pin to hold the gas block in place!?!??!
Or did the roll pin split in half??

Send it back for sure

I bought a Wr762 (vz58) by Kodiak defence back in December. About a month ago I had my first opportunity to shoot it. After about 100 rounds down the barrel, my lower hand guard fell out. Upon further inspection I realized that the gas block had slid about 5cm forward. I phoned Kodiak about the issue and was told that if I sent it in, they would simply put a rubber gasket to hold it in place (I don't think he understood what I was telling him, even though I sent them photos and he had them infront of him. Honestly it was terrible customer service and he did not seem to want to help) since then I have gently hammered the gas block into place with a soft rubber mallet. I have not had an opportunity to shoot since then to see if the issue persist. What I'm wondering, is there any way to fix this issue? Or should I send it in for warranty (leaning toward warranty, just a pain in the ass). It was brand new unfired when I purchased it by the way.

The best fix is to forget these Canadian wannabes and buy a real czech VZ58

I certainly plan to get rid of the rifle and some one will get it for cheap. My main concern now is if/when I get it back

Update: I phoned twice yesterday with no answer. Later on in the day my rifle was on the front porch waiting for me, no signurature required. I wouldn't have been so annoyed and frustrated if they had not told me it would be fixed and back home in a week, then proceed to ignore my emails and calls. Rifle feels solid now but we will have to see after a few hundred rounds.
