WR762 rifle

I like it, especially the wood buttstock, looks like its much more comfortable than the issue style with their silly crescent butt plates.

I don't know about the wood forend though, it would have been nice to see a palm swell type handguard if we're going to call it AK style furniture.

Also, did you guys change the stock angle?looks a lot steeper then the standard 858

I don't think it more steep, looks like there is extra material on top to make the top more flat and hence more in-line with the top. I guess that is to provide a better cheek weld.

The beaver barf ones are factory 858/58 stuff,so should be the same as my czh2003,but from those pictures it looks like a considerable slope, more then the 858 anyways, which for me would be a problem if it's different because I won't be able to run the RS regulate adaptor with a Zhukov stock without some weird angle.

West rifle please tell me these receivers are the same dimension as a 858?

I was talking about the wood stock.

Looks pretty good! Another poster asked about a rear sight and I would like to know about whether that is available as well. ....

And I'm talking about shape of the receiver.the wooden stock is clearly a different design then a standard 858,but even the beaver barf one looks to be sloped more then the 858.

Could just be the pictures, but looking at the rifle I have in my hands and the one in the pics, there's a difference between the angle.

Like I said,I hope it's just the pictures

How is the quality of the machining on these? I'm hesitant to drop money on one of these based on the images on the Westrifle store pages for them.

These look pretty interesting, but I (and many others) clearly have a lot of questions. Is there any chance you could update the first post with the new photos and maybe some basic data such as thread pitch, barrel twist, etc...

On a semi-related note, these look like surplus parts kits that have been put together. Could you elaborate on how much of the gun is new parts vs surplus? And I would absolutely love to see how the barrel is secured to the trunnion and how easy it is to change.

It's a threaded barrel, not press fit. I'm willing to bet the barrels are green mountain AK blanks that are threaded.seems to be how most guys are doing NE CZ barrel now a days

I'm willing to bet the questionable finish is just the sample rifles that were for rcmp testing, most makers don't go over and beyond for the finish on those.
