WR762 rifle

Chrome Barrel would have to be done overseas. Cost wise it is 160 to 200 more for Chrome Barrel. Also it is factors like export permit 90 days minimum, then it is customs and duty.

We still have not gave up on it. It will be another 6 month for us to test the quality of the chrome barrel and also see if we need any changes. Anything made in Canada takes faster than parts made outside of Canada

How about QPQ treatment instead ? I presume that is easier to get in Canada or US ?

Also, any chance of some heavy duty Nickel Boron treatment as option?

Why would you have to send it out of country for chrome?

Who does the chrome for CC?

Nitride is an excellent cost effective alternative to chrome.

I will be happy to support Canadian firms that are in partnership with one another. I think it's fantastic but this receiver better be spec.

Maybe Colt Canada can chrome line for you ;) These rifles look like beauty's , not going to complain about the engravings at all.

Will these be in production for the foreseeable future? I'd like to pick one up but won't have the disposable income for some time.

I don't see why people complain about the markings, what's wrong with a Canadian flag engraved into it? I hope any future US market variants still have it engraved.

West Rifle and Kodiak Defence were kind enough to send me a couple to try out. Here are a few pics from my photo shoot:

I wonder why they changed the profile on the deluxe wood? Maybe it's just the picture but it looks odd....
The CZ stock design fits me like a glove.

We will look into it, being left handed my self I feel you brother.
A lefty here too, I don't own a left handed rifle,,, yet, but thevoption would be nice! Cost is usually the deciding factor. Great job on making a Canadian NR, rifle,,, will parts be available for repair etc?

I find the 858 stock profile is fine if you're using the iron sights. The new wood profile would be more suited for a scope mount and scope. Westrifle has an optional scope mount on their website.

I would like to see a pic with the Westrifle scope mount installed on the WR762.

I agree, the stock is designed for iron sights, the aftermarket peep's like Raven's eye are excellent.
I find in general I'd rather raise my cheek weld towards a chin weld to find a red dot or scope center then mash my face into a stock trying to line up on the iron sightsl

We are producers of WR762 who contracted Kodiak Defence to make it. We deserve to have our name on it same as "dodge" on Dodge Ram truck

Without Westrifle there would not be WR762. WR stands for West Rifle

In giant billboard markings? No thanks. It makes it look like it should have a orange muzzle protector and be sold at walmart in the kiddie section.

When you are copying a no-frills military rifle, less is more. People want it to look like the real thing, not a billboard advertisement.

It's your company, do what you want to do, but it's losing you sales. Mine for one, and based on the people I've talked to, I'm far from alone.

Thank you for your opinion first I am going to clarify something Original prototype had westrifle on it. Not the full run. Rifle you purchase will not have westrifle engrave on it . Should I expect order from you Claven2?
Now we ask Kodiak to engrave it and we are keeping that rifle. Our rifle, our engraving . And it is not Yuck it is super ###y rifle and I love it and I will keep it!

Just saw this. Great news. Who will be the stocking dealers in Ontartio?

I guess your baseing your rant on old prototype pictures. Obviously you haven't seen the recent photos as it looks really nice and I'm stoked to find mine is in the mail and on its way.

How do the feed ramps on these new production receivers compare to the 858 (wider) vs the csa vz58 (narrower)? Quite a few feeding issues on some csa vz58's that seemed to boil down to feed ramp design.

Got my shipping notification from West Rifle yesterday, also have a Spartan Rifle on order from "the other guys" which West Rifle was kind enough to make their NR receivers available to for them to rebuild the rifles and comply with being NR as apparently the Spartan engraving made their rifle too scary for ownership

Thank you West Rifle!

Well....... Checked the mail today on the way to work and after months of waiting my new WR762 finally showed up. Unboxed it at work but didn't get a chance to wring it out. Couldn't be happier with it. Fit and finish is extremely good. I've had a few 858's so I can compare and this is so much better in so many ways.

I opted for the real wood and the grain and finish is very nice. The hand guard, both upper and lower are snug and has no 858 rattle. The pistol grip is about the same size as a 858 beaver barf grip but fits fine with my average sized mits. Guys with gorilla paws might find it too small. The cheek weld is quite good for the iron sights and I was surprised with this as the deluxe stock is higher than the beaver barf stock.

Will shoot it tomorrow after work and if it performs as well as it looks I'll be very happy. The only fault I can find is there is no rear sling attachment. There is a ring near the front hand guard like a 858 but nothing at the rear stock.
