WR762 rifle

So long as they are priced well I want one. I bought a ton of 7.62x39 ammo cause its cheap realizing after I have to shoot it sith is 3 SKS'S I want something else in the calibre too.

What will the magazines look like? Compatible with? I can buy a few now

If there's still time and room for suggestions on this rifle,a few things that would make great features:

-factory extended Mag/bolt release
-left side charging handle available
-14x1LH barrel threading so all those fantastic AK muzzle break can be used

These, plus the ability to take at least some AK furniture;

Pistol grips should be easy. I'm not sure if many actual AK stocks would be suitable to fit, but AK style fixed and folders would be fine. If there's one thing the VZ58 direly needs its better shaped stocks!

I'd also really like to see a wooden AK style forend that has both palm swells and a heat shield incorporated, and perhaps lengthened a bit to be more in proportion to a 18.6" nonrestricted length barrel.

If these rifles have magazines compatable with something else comerciales available then I can see them being a massive hit in the 700 to 1150 price range depending on features.

Please make this rifle compatable with other mags on the market, proprietary could kill this gun. I'm all for supporting the economy get these guns on the line and off to the shelves.

Made in Canada .. I feel these will be expensive .. More around $1300+ Though i prefer your range much more. :)

I'd rather pay less than more, but above all i'd rather they be good and complete rather than cheap.

If you want a cheap rifle in 7.62x39, there's always the SKS.

Also new polymer mags from zahal are really cool

I agree. Stick with the original mag design.
No need to add unnecessary costly re-design changes when the original metal mags are reliable and now available in polymer as well. I have some of the new polymer mags and they work great and are reasonably priced.

You can get AK mags with the bolt hold open feature, but they can be hard to come by.

I agree to keeping the original design, they are readily available, reliable, and would keep costs down due to not having to redesign the the rifle.

If west rifle focussed on just getting a base model out to the public first,i think that would be out best option.the most NR semis sold sooner, rather then later the better.

Accessories and add on can come later.

I'd even be happy to get a base model with plastic furniture like the CSA version if it meant we could get then sooner.

I'd just like to see it with a couple of simple modern design updates... a peep sight, bigger mag release, "tactical" trigger-finger bolt release, left-side bolt-carrier handle, and left-side safety. I'd buy one or two if they came set up like that in the box.

What will these be finished with?

The rifle in the second post seems to either be painted satin black, or is possibly nitrided. I'd be all over the latter!

Longer handguard so it doesn't look so goofy with the 18.5" barrel, also a 5.45 chambering would be bada$$.

For the 18.5 inch non restricted barrels, why not just keep the same distance between the rear site and the front site block, and let the extra three inches of barrel stick out passed the front site block. It wouldn't require any different length handuards or parts.
