WRAS 2013 Match Schedule

I'm looking to join you guys this year for 3-gun. I was just wondering what to bring for shot size and quantity to each match?

Also, I am thinking about buying a versamax tactical to use rather that an 870, but the mag capacity is a downside.
I understand that semi's are only allowed 5, but that is only the longest shell. Is it alright if I used the versamax tactical (3 1/2") with 6+1 or 7+1 capacity of 2 3/4" in a match?

I have read threads in the black and green shotgun section and it seems that this is ok. I just want to clarify so that if I show up with the versamax it wont be illegal.

If it's legal in Canada (and 5.8x 3.5" shells that happen to fit 6 or 7x 2.75" is), you're good to go in WRAS matches.

I like to use 7.5 shot. Cheap and good enough performance at the distances we shoot at.

Match details typically come out a week or so before a match, giving a rough idea of round counts for each gun.

Sounds good. Thanks

Where's the sign up list? How long does it usually taketo get registered at the WRAS website. Is that right?

Come out to your first match, register with WRAS for the year, sign up and pay the match fee (I believe if it's your first time out they wave that match fee), help set up and then enjoy a very fun day blasting away.

WRAS guys please correct me if I have anything wrong.

I really need to know as I have 5 hours to drive and hotel to pay for just to shoot, so I'd hate to just show up and get turned away. I know the IPSC matched fill up quick and you have to be registered.

I don't think anyone has been turned away for a three gun. If you come to your first match, you pay your membership fee, and shoot the first match for free. After that there are match fees and range fees.

I joined the end of last season. I just showed up at the range with all my gear and was well welcomed. They had all the forms etc needed to join and I was good to go.

As some have stated already, if you are a first time shooter with WRAS, you pay your membership fee and your first match is free. Send me your email address to wras.3gun@gmail.com and I will put you on the distribution list that will be going out his week.

Should have an email out to everybody by mid-day tomorrow. If you haven't sent me your email address please do ASAP. wras.3gun@gmail.com
