Just a quick update about the match this wknd.

Round count will be roughly
Rifle: 250
Shotgun: 100 Bird Shot
20 Slug
Pistol: 250
(These are of course minimums, as the COF's have not been finalizled yet)

Thanks bt.

I'll have a brand new (never used) MGW Glock rear sight tool (MGW309) for the swap meet if anyone is interested.

Tex, your email states 200 bird shot. That scared me a little.

Although with the little device I know we have... 200 might be a good recommendation.

Damn, need to proof read stuff... Bring a min of 100 shotgun, but I would bring a min of 150. Just in case there is a 32 rnd shotgun stage... Just saying

Tex

Here's what I've got to bring:

Sub2000 (Glock mag)
pair of Bisley Blackhawks (45 Colt)
Bushnell Banner 6-24X40 AO MilDot

Possibly a 15.5" CZ858 and a basic SAM 1911 as well.

Small bits: 308Win reloading stuff, AR furniture, VZ58 furniture, 9mm/45ACP reloading components, couple 1911 holsters, couple of gun locks and locking pistol cases.

Ummm.... Is that too much?! :)

I have a young friend who is interested in trying 3-gun for the first time. He is 17.
Are youth welcome at the WRAS shoots?
Are there any special rules in regards to youth shooters?

All are welcome, just need to do new shooter's orientation. A spare holster may be a big help though.

Well,

Set up tonight went awesome, thanks to those that came out to help.

Less than 12 hrs till a shotgun start...

See everybody on the range.
Tex

38 shooters today,
6 awesome stages,
And good weather
Priceless

Thanks to those that came out on Friday to set up and those that came out today to support the growing sport of 3 Gun here in Alberta.

See everybody tomorrow morning at 09:30 for setup.

Tex

As if you guys needed another reason to come out and shoot a fantastic 3 gun match... but here it is anyways!

Wild West Shooting Centre is donating 4 guns to the prize table of the 2-day 3 gun match. That's right! 4 guns!

I won that Norinco M4 yesterday!

Great match. Lots of effort and work by all to have the ten stages. I likes the stages on Sunday better. Easier to shoot and reset. Great meal on Sunday night, nice touch.

AMAZING event, thanks very much to all those who helped put it together. In future I resolve to finish my reloading before Friday night so I can drive up and help with setup! :)

Thanks also to the generous sponsors: Wild West Shooting Centre, Milarm, and Ward's Auctions. What is the name of the company producing those slick-looking shooting bags? Am I forgetting any other sponsors?

Looking forward to working with whoever steps up to take the reins from Sam and Tex.
