Wrong reason to get a restricted license? You tell me!

I love my ruger 2245, I started on a old Ruger MK2, High Sandard and S&W 41 ( club guns )

I owned a lot of guns, 357 Rem Max, 45ACP, 9mm, 357mag, 40cal etc But I love shooting rimfire, mostly what I shoot now.

If thats what floats your boat. I had a m&p9. Sold shortly after. I might have kept it around if I could use it on the farm legally and not just at a range. As it was it sat in the safe more then it was used.

After years of shooting air pistol, I started off with a couple of 1911's and a CZ Shadow. Love shooting them and no problems getting 2-3" groups at 10 yards. Just got a 22/45 Target and have to say I enjoy shooting that just as much. One of the reasons was I wanted to try some different optic options and it was dead simple to mount a TRS-25 on it. With the red dot on, I can do 2-3" groups at 17 yards which is the limit of my indoor range. Sadly, I don't seem to be shooting much less 9mm or 45acp yet, so my range sessions just get longer

ANY reason to get your RPAL is a good one...the RPAL numbers mean/help MUCH more then the standard PAL do IMO.

I have a 22/45 lite .. Beautiful pistol .. Have not shot in months no indoor ranges for hours and hours driving .. Snow is going and I have cool weather gloves .. Shoots anything .. Get some extra mags .. Costs nothing to shoot .. And there is a great mag loader for it also .. Ck out you tube

In some circles the .22 pistol with cci velicotor ammo ( 1400fps / speer designed hollow point / 40 grain ) is considered an entry level home defense solution .. I would not recommend a steady diet of velicotor or stinger ammo as you may see long term stress effects .. Stick with standard High velocity .. But try the high power stuff the odd time ..

Great videos on disassembly and reassembly you tube .. Can be tricky the first few times .. Search ruger 22/45 dingle berry ... Seriously ...

Will be less recoil than your 9mm experience .. I never shot 9mm .. My primary unit is a glock21 ..

I was in the same boat as you a week or two ago - then saw someone on the EE selling a great pistol at an even greater price. Whether it be .22lr, 9mm, .45 - getting your RPAL and joining a club will feel pretty awesome.
