I had every thing packed, ready to go to head to our land. I even go into work early to get stuff done early, and snap there goes my wrist!!!:mad: Now in a cast to my elbow for six weeks!!!:mad: I can't lift or hold my gun!!:mad: I cant turn any way to hold and lift up, cant move my fingers. Now I am waiting for my buddie to swing by and pick up the rest of the gear. So here I am having a beer unpacking, thinking of all the deer I have tracking,watching, and five months of getting things ready, four stands, two blinds, 6 ground chairs, with the legs cut down. And I stuck in the city, trying figure out how to wash dishes one handed, and try to figure out how to do up my zipper with out cutting off my beaver banger:eek:
So, you guys hunt hard and post pics
 
If you guys really rough it, I can see why you'd back out...

But, my first though was... Frig that!!! I'd be taking along the shotgun and sitting in the tight stuff... Broken wrist or not...

I already tried my 870 with my new barred from the us, I was hopeing to use it in the willows, and as backup, but can't grip the forend. Can't even hold it up for that matter, one break, 3 cracks, one chip, it all adds up to pain when I lift anything

That totally sucks! Sit back drink beer... hang out in your boxers so ya don't have any zipper pulling to do. Order pizza :p

That totally sucks x2. Reminds me of the time I was getting ready, packing up for a week long canoeing/camping trip and then threw my neck out pumping iron just before leaving. Cancellation of well prepared trips hit below the waist!

At least you have the beer on hand to drown your sorrows in. :cool:
 
Christ man, find a way to make it work. Shoot with the other hand if you have to. Make something to rest the gun on.. Whatever. Sounds like you put in tons of work. Even if you cant shoot at least go and camp for a few days.

Get well soon pal. Back in the 80's my old man broke his hip in a trench cave in. Hunted deer that year from behind the wheel of his Oldsmobile in a lower body cast. Shot a spiker if I remember correctly but the whole episode put him back in the hospital again. Be kind to yourself man!
