Figured I'd start this thread to chart what is compatible with the WS-MCR and others can add in and I'll update this post. Let me know if I've missed anything.

COMPATIBLE

-Odin works (with some trimming of the barrel nut)

Triggers:

-Geissele 3G
-Geissele SSA

Magazines:

-included mags
-MFT polymer 10rd LAR mags (don't drop free)

-Okay Industries Surefeed E2
-ETS polymer coupler mags (don't drop free and can't use the coupler if running left side charging)
-Cross mags
-Amend2 10 rounders

Folding adapters:

-MDT carbine-to-carbine adapter works well
-Matador arms
-Spectre "Galil"
-Incarnation Arms folding stock (with Magpul Zhukov)

Also consider adding what doesn't fit so Gunners may not have to ask or attempt:
so far I found oversize magazine release button, ambi magazine release, BCM MCMR Handguard all did not fit

Kodiak Defence External Bolt Release Catch fits,
Extreme Gun Shooting Centre makes a slightly larger Tactical Knob

Tried a ATRS pistol mag in my friend's rifle, had two failures to feed due to bullets being compacted into the casing, I switch over MFT pistol mags and had no issues. the same ATRS mag was running in my X95 without any issues during that same trip.

According to a Reddit thread (can't use URL due to forum rules, but replace space with dot/period for reddit com/r/canadaguns/comments/jlvayz/ws_mcr_magpul_magazine_issues/ ) one user had problems with Magpul pmags, gen2 two being unusable, and gen 3 having "frequent failure to feeds, failure to extract, and double feeds when using gen3 pmags". Another user on the thread said "Cross mags work fine".

Gen 2 pmags are unusable in mine as well. Out of 3 WS-MCR at the range yesterday, gen 2 pmags were unusable in 2/3. A forum member messaged me to say that you can get pmags to run but squaring up the cutout in the back of the mag (where the bolt hold open engages) to match how metal mags are. I've yet to try. They are tight regardless and I doubt they would drop free.

I'm pretty sure that any stock that will fit on an AR buffer tube will work?

If you don't want to use the Spectre LTD Galil-style folding stock, an alternative is to use a buffer tube stock with a folding adapter. A Made in Canada solution is the Matador Arms Sidewinder folding buffer tube adapter: matadorarms(.)com(/)sidewinder(.)html.

I currently have the Galil-style folder but also have the bits coming to set up a folding buffer tube to see which I prefer. I'm using the MDT carbine-to-carbine folding adapter.

Maybe it’s worth noting I have an early generation where you can swap the charging handle for either side? Not sure if it’s relevant, but yah.

Yeah, I wonder if there are dimensional differences between "gens"? No polymer mags that I've tried drop free in mine, the MFT 10 rounders run fine otherwise but Pmags (Gen 2) don't run unmodified.

Had the following email exchange with Xtreme Shooting Centre

Will you be making rifle and/or by mid length op rods for the MCR, for use with your receiver kits and barrels with ports at those lengths? Thank you!

Yes it is in the works rifle length. Thanks

When it becomes available, barrels with rifle length gas ports will become MCR to compatible.

That's awesome. That should also make a lot more handguards compatible, being that you should be able to run the rifle with an exposed gas block.

ATRS is now selling match grade barrels with a gas port tuned for the WS/WK, light contour is 1.75 lbs, and the Medium is 2.35 lbs. More details on their subforum.
