If/when someones pulls their factory WS-MCR barrel (to replace with an aftermarket barrel) I'd be curious to hear what it weighs.

ATRS states about 2.17lbs for the factory WS-MCR barrel.
For another reference...Colt Hbar barrels were about 3lbs.

Black Bear Outdoors used Cross Industries Cross Mags in their MCR accuracy test part one YouTube video, and it looks like Adriel the Hunting Gear Guy used them to in his WK vs MCR accuracy comparison YouTube video, so I believe they should be marked as MCR compatible.

Weird all my pmags work (gen 2 and gen 3) along with all my metal ASC mags and cross mags. All drop free.

What generation MCR do you have? Can anyone confirm if there are difference between the initial batches and the latest ones?

I have a first gen one with a low serial number and all mags work!

I'm having a problem with my LAR-15 magazines, in addition to them not freely dropping out. I can lock the magazine in place if I have 9 rounds or less loaded. However, if I fill the LAR-15 to its 10 round capacity, I cannot get the magazine to lock into place. It appears that the tension is too strong/tight with 10 rounds. Has anyone experienced something similar and were you able to resolve it?

Yes Odin ones work well. Needs slight mods to work but totally worth it

Barrel nut needs a light trim to clear piston rod and spring.

You'll need 1 1/16 wrench to remove the stock barrel nut and it on there good from the factory

Geissele and similar are a drop in. Cartridge type like Triggertech will require a bit of material to be removed from the bolt catch arm

Has anyone tried a cassette style with recent versions? My fairly early version MCR would take a drop-in trigger, but the safety wouldn't work correctly. Curious if the new ones have that fixed.

I can confirm that Magpul extended mag release works, and that the Amend2 gen 2 10rnd pistol mags work, drop free and hold bolt open.

At least in my brand new WX that just arrived from Wolverine
