My WS-MCR has a handguard which is applying pressure on the top of the gas block. Upon test firing I've confirmed that it is creating an accuracy problem, producing groups just barely under 1 inch at 25 meters! With the handguard removed my POI shifts about 1 and a half inches higher and produces a group of about 1/4 inch at the same distance.
Is anyone else experiencing this handguard to barrel contact, and if so is it affecting your accuracy? I mainly want to see if it's even worth my time to ask for a replacement handguard. My hope is that it's just an out of spec hand guard, but it could get more complicated. Perhaps a non concentric receiver or barrel nut, or maybe it's by design.
