I picked up a WS-MCR a couple years back. At the time, I didn't realize how terrible the trigger is, but as I gain experience and play with nicer triggers, I realize how much it needs to be swapped out. Anybody have suggestions? I would love to put a triggertech diamond on it, but I'm seeing mixed reviews as to weather it will fit. I also wouldn't mind keeping it a little cheaper!

Also... The roll pin in the action broke (as predicted) after the expected 300 rounds. It's been replaced under warranty, but I'd like to get that swapped out for a solid pin. Any suggestions as to where I can grab one?

Thanks!

I installed a Hiperfire Designated marksman trigger in my MCR. It’s so much better now! It has a very clean break around 3lbs when you pull close to the bottom of the trigger and 4lbs when you pull it higher up. You can’t beat these triggers for the price.

Definitely thinking about the hyper fire for sure. Thanks for the real works opinion! Never know what you get from YouTube! Lol

Awesome! Thank you!

I found the hyper fire for $159. Not that much more, and sounds like it would be a better trigger.

agreed. i have same one in a WK. 3 lbs at bottom of blade, 4 lbs on curve of trigger. can’t beat it for the price imo…

I had my eyes on a hiperfire.... But I can't find one available. Maybe someday.

Looks like I'm shifting gears and building a precision 223 instead anyways. Maybe dding the MCR was a tide me over sort of a plan, but with the concerns of never being able to bring it to the range in the near future.

About the original comment about the bad trigger (BTW still way better than the one on the WK180 I had), I just realized something yesterday on my WX-MCR:
the hard wall it has just before the break is caused by interference between the hammer and disconnector, which shouldn't be happening when you pull the trigger.
Because of the positive engagement, as you pull the trigger the hammer rotates backward slightly and bumps up against the disconnector before releasing.
The disconnector is spring loaded so it moves out of the way but you do feel it.
Time to take it out and hone it a little...
Or get a whole new trigger as suggested
