Until recently I've been reloading for handgun with flake powders, namely the same 700x/Unique I use for 12 gauge.
My powder measure is a Lee micro disk, and although I never had a serious problems- it just didn't throw consistant weights and the flake powders are dirty/smokey in a handgun! After about 100 rounds I'd get soft carbon built up between the slide and case causing a stoppage.

So I trawled the internet for ideas and after my own research bought a pound of WSF, AKA: Winchester Super Field.
The criteria in no particular order: Cast boolit friendly- meaning slowish burn rate, must meter and throw perfect charges, be relatively clean.

Here are the chrono results: CZ75B 135gr Lead RN.
4.0gr WSF yielded an average speed of 920fps.
4.3gr WSF went to 1040fps.

Hodgdon shows data for 9mm 115gr to 147gr.
I'm still testing and tweaking, however at this stage believe this powder is a real find. Its a flattened ball powder, and after 250 rounds fired cleaning was very minimal.

If you've already found something that works well, good for you- stick with it!
But if you want a change.. ;)

I'm surprised you find 700X dirty, I find it pretty clean burning with plated bullets thou. Unique is dirty. Power Pistol should be one of the cleaner powders as well, I didn't try it personally thou.
