Wsm???

For me, I loved and owned a few 7mm Rem Mag so the 7mm Rem Short Action Ultra Mag (SAUM) made perfect sense to me (at the time). You could now have a 7mm MAG in a Rem Model 7 which is lighter and shorter then the traditionnal Model 700. I love the gun and it's super accurate, but man it kicked like a mule, so ended up spending a few buck's, Installed a Paychmar Decelerator recoil pad, had to put a rosewood piece inside the stock to do it, got action pillar bedded and got trigger down to 3lb. What a difference that made, but now it weight's more than a 700???
Well I dont re-load (yet) but picked up dies for it, saved all my Brass, and pick up whatever ammo I see on special for it.
Today, would I trade in my 7mm Rem Mag for a SAUM or WSM propably not, but I will not sell my Model Seven anytime soon :D

I could see myself considering the 300wsm if I was looking to buy a new magnum rifle, if the rifle actually had a shorter action. I dont see what the hype is all about, except selling guns. I will say that I find the browning rifle i have in 300 wsm to be very accurate with factory ammo, but not better than my browning 7mm rem mag when i compare handloads. I think the 300 wsm will stick around, but a 325wsm .. that is the biggest abortion ever!
