Okay so I sent my PAL paperwork in a month ago, and just now I recieved a letter in the mail that reads:

Thank you for your application under the Firearms Act.

We have reviewed your application and found that some of the information is needed to process is either missing or invalid. To keep your file open and under consideration, we must recieve the missing information by the due date shown above. Otherwise your application will not be processed.

The missing information above is: Firearms possession acquisition licence application

I don't get it... I know it was in there, and I didn't put a return address on the envelope, so how did they get my address? I thought maybe because I had to tape the envelope closed because the sticky part wasn't sticky anymore that maybe Canada post opened it to inspect. But that doesnt make much sense... So my question is WTF?

What province are you in?

If your in Ontario, they probably got your address from your course reports that we have to send with the application.

Call them in person, there are thousands of reason for things to go wrong, it could be as simple as few questions missing, conflicting answers or they simply can't read your hand writing.

I am in Ontario. But if that's true that means someone at canada post has my application, and credit card number.... And all my other info

Okay I just got off the phone with them. There was two things I left blank on my application. One I corrected over the phone, and the other I have to mail/fax in. I left them blank because they didn't apply to me. Word of advise people, fill in EVERYTHING. Even if it doesn't apply to you. Thanks guys

Brandon

glad it was that simple, it is always a good idea to put down "N/A" so they don't have to second guess your intentions for leaving it blank.
