wtf - mail order source for .451 balls

Hey Gang...

I am looking for a good source for mail order-able .451 lead balls for my cap and ball. I don't get to the gun store that often, and the ones nearby don't have what I need.

I got my last batch of Hornady swaged round balls for my C&B revolver from Wholesale Sports.

Call them though - they are notorious for being out of stock.

buy the mould and cast your own- lead is easy to come by, and a cap and ball uses pure lead- no alloying needed- first you'll learn about how bullets are made, and second you can make them whenver you need to- no running to the "store"- an appropriate pot and coleman stove on high will melt lead, (NOT THE POCKET STOVE)and then either a dipper or a proper furnace- and a quench of some kind- i've been doing the black powder thing since 75 with the real black and making my own balls and bullets- try to get a mould that throws both, not just balls, as i found that the bullets give FAR better accuracy-and at 451, your standard 45 acp bullets fit( look up your bore diameters)
