WTF Ontario transfers taking forever again?

You guys must have friends in the CFC. Shortest private transfer ever for me was 2 weeks and the longest took 365 days exactly. The average transfer time for me is usually 30 days.

I wouldn't call them friends but knowing a name or two in these offices and asking for them by name, helps enormously. Besides, to me it just makes the whole process more bearable. I do all my paper work transfers using an Internet fax service which helps as I can get an ATT or similar where ever I happen to be that has a connection. Fax machines are unreliable and clunky by comparison. My fax service costs me $10/month.

It's a long story. Previous owner had purchased a conversion unit for a Walther GSP which didn't need to be registered. He then later bought a frame which dosn't come with a serial number. So it was never registered. When I bought it, the owner had to jump through all the hoops to get it legal before I could take possession.

I haven't had any deals since June/July but I have never had an issue...quite the opposite in fact. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful.
