just as i was reloading some .243 sierra blitzking 70 grain bullets i had found this one after i reloaded my 3rd case and it looked a bit funny. was like wtf, looking in the box i found a few more..... not too happy on QC on there end. I had time to shoot a couple good bullets and it kept MOA, for a varment rifle that was pretty good, i bet it shoots better but damn it was cold out.

looks like those are the special 'Wanted' bullets than you can bend around an object.

I'd be pretty p&*%ed off if it were me. I'd call the company and maybe e-mail some pics, the outcome could be a lot worse than an increased group size.

I take it the large mark on the jacket just below the tip was there prior to bullet seating. Looks like a bad batch of bullets to me.

if they were like that from the box, why would you load and shoot them....

call them up, ask for a new box. simple.

REREAD HIS POST.............After finding othis one he dug through the box and found a few more...............its not the seating die, its the quality control on Sierra's bullet line.........when random samples are taken and a issue found they stop the machine and correct it, obviously these ones slipped through the cracks.....

More importantly...is there a lot number on the box, and where did you buy them??? just so we don't end up buying the same product that may be deformed......

Oh.......x2 on emailing pictures to Sierra, but first call the 1-800 number and explain your find to a bullet smith........

That was my first interpretation, but I was doubtful that he would get as far as seating the bullet without noticing something so obvious.

Told u to go with the Vmax's. It is odd u didn't notice the coloured tip being bent while seating the bullet. On a side note. Did they whistle going down range?

i had only loaded one, and looked at it after...... the rest i found the same exact way, never shot, just pulled it back out, emailed sierra, there response was " the operator must have blinked when it came past his station" , so from that there sending me out new bullets.

sweet, free bullets! glad to see they are fixing the situation.

I've had some SMK's that didn't go into the V Bull, think they will send me some free bullets? Hell, if they send me enough free bullets I will stop using Berger's, Nosler's and Lapua's altogether.

I had the exact same thing in a box of .224 55gr blitz kings. I took pics and sent them to Sierra. They sent me a new box of bullets.
