Congratulations on your new Norinco M14 rifles! I'm glad to see those who appreciate are getting more of them. :)

I have some research questions on these latest imports related to how they are marked or stamped. Excuse my 1990s frame of reference. I'm in a time warp down here. :D I'm curious to know the following:

1) Where is the "NORINCO" stamping, on the barrel, receiver left side or receiver heel?
2) What is the model number stamped on these new rifles, M14, M14S, M14 Sporter, M305 or something else?
3) Do the bolts, operating rods, or trigger housings have any markings etched or stamped on them?
4) Are the rear sight knobs marked "W C E"?
5) Do the new imports have functional flash suppressors and/or bayonet lugs?
6) Were there any select fire M14 rifles imported for law enforcement or the entertainment industry?
7) Is the gas piston chromium plated?
8 ) Does the receiver have the scope mount?
9) Are these rifles phosphate coated or blued?
10) Is there a set screw in the barrel ring?

TIA,

Hello, heres how my 2 are marked

1) Stamping nomenclature is on left side of receiver, behind bolt catch & under elev/range dial

2) Stamping as follows:

M14 .308 NORINCO 00###X
MADE IN CHINA SFLD, MI.

Also stamped on rifle, out of direct view, on left side under scope mount screw hole, on the part of the rifle receiver that fits inside the stock are a series of numbers. Looks like they were hand punched due to unevenness. Purpose unknown, maybe a manufacturers lot #?
Rifle 1 ---- 4 2 28 14 22
Rifle 2 ---- 4 3 42 22 24

3) Both bolt & trigger mech have rifle serial # hand etched on them

4) Yes WCE marked between 8 & 10 on elev/range dial. Also a M (meters?)marked between 10 & 11

5) Flash suppresors with no bayo lug

6) ???? anyone know? Maybe ask the guys at Marstar, if anyone knows it'll be them.

7) Looks like it, but I do not know. Other members on the site will know for sure.

8) Receiver has the slots & threaded hole etc for fitting a scope mount of your choice.

9) Parkerized I believe.

10) Huh?? whats that?

Sorry for not being able to provide answers to all of the questions. Hope I could help out.:)
