As some of you may or may not know I run a Tikka T3X Switch Barrel rifle and have had great success with it. Currently waiting on a Reamer and will be having another barrel made hopefully this summer.

I am planning on a running another action and switch-barrel setup. (Still TBD) An I am debating going with the West Texas Ordnance Switch Lug vs the standard switch-barrel setup. This setup theoretically would allow me to switch barrels on the fly almost anywhere with just a set of fix it sticks. Instead of the selections of tools currently used on my T3X Build.

So I am wondering (An believe I have seen at least one user with mention of this) who is running one. What do you like and dislike about it ? What Action did you install it on ? An do you swap bolt faces along with barrels ? Have you run into issues with standard stock in letting ? Etc.

So if you have any suggestions or experience with this please comment below.

Cheers,
B

I've heard some benchrest shooters with shouldered barrels run them hand tight. I run a Tikka switch barrel same as you, couple barrels with nuts, couple shouldered but I have always wanted to try having a specific barrel chambered to my action that could be unscrewed/screwed on by hand in the field takedown style.
