WTS Leopard 1 MBT!

May be interested... Let us know when these arrive! What the hell it's 50 bucks right?

That's kinda what I was thinking. My current place is already too small, so I can't be adding to the clutter until I move... But if I had more space, I could totally see one of these sitting on the window sill in the rec room...

It...is definitely a periscope, and definitely not an episcope. En episcope is a projector.

Worked on the turret of the Leopard C1 and C2 for at least 15 years and all we ever called them were episcopes. Periscopes revolve, episcopes are stationary. You could also call it just a vision block.

If that is indeed yours, then you are living out my lottery winning dreams, fully functional right? My wife is hoping I never win because I mentioned many times we will have a tank parked in the driveway and I will rip down the road in it. We live on an acreage so it's all good :)

Seems like you guys called them episcopes to differentiate it from the periscope? Technically that's incorrect, they're both periscopes, but I could see how calling them different things would make life easier.

"Definition of episcope - an optical projector which gives images of opaque objects."

I have gone on line and on numerous sites they refer to episcopes on tanks. Agreed not according to some dictionary definition but clearly refered to as episcopes. You know what they say if it is online it must be true
