Thanks, I always wanted to tryout the controlled mag platform depressor thing! I take it that the top two are similar if not the same model?
neat thanks ever so much!

The top one is the Mk1(1903),the second the mk 11(1905) and the third one down is the Mk111(1910)....took a few years digging around in some dirty old places but was finally able to locate the 3 types. There are dozens of variations ,especially of the Mk11 but these 3 are nice representative pieces....glad you like them Cheers,LASTMAG.

Having relatives in Canadian services in both World wars has thrown up rthe odd tale about the Ross rifles, mine is a Mk3 1910 or however it should be written. It cost me £245 and they were all going for deactivation as no one in the UK wanted them. Mine is still a dirty old trench prop but there are one or two good examples around.
Apologies for not saying please in the picture request, rather brash of me to instruct you and rather decent of you not to point it out!
Thank you!

Trench props are my favourite...would walk an extra 10 miles for an artifact with a story, then some mint "never left the trg range" examples......thats a damn sad dog there Tim....hope his demeanour has improved since this photo....L.

He was only a few weeks old then and unsure of himself, he is now a father and a great worker either beating or picking up, he lacks the patience of his mother but he'll learn that soon enough. not quite 2 years old now. I just loved the hang dog expression.

Love the museum Lastmag, I would bet that even the blue rifle rack is genuine
army issue as no civilian would paint a rifle rack that aweull color.
My dream is to have one decent shooter from all the WW2 players, mauser
Mosin,Garand , Ariska etc on a rack like your Ross's.

TimC What kind of dog are those? My guess would be some kind of working/hunting spaniel. I had 2 kinds of dogs growing up ,american pitbulls and cavielier king charles spaniels and always thought a crossbreed of the two would be perfect. Also what is going on in the UK ,banning knives
What ever happend to the people who lived through the blitz?
I consider myself an enviromentalist but I would love to go fox hunting.
Heck it is the only animal in europe that is not endangered. I would like to see a return to victorian sensibilitys where the occasional duel is a small price to pay for a polite society.

Sorry about the rant!

Fine looking pup there Tim...His confidence is definately up...had Black labs here all my life, but without one now...last one went down on me in the bush with a lung tumour and after carrying him 6 miles back to the Ranch...the poor bugger left me for the great duck pond in the sky......god I loved that dog....bawled like an Italian going to war all the way home from the vets....just havn't had the guts to get attached to an animal like that again....have a giant 15 pound cat now....who lies on the desk beside me reading gunnutz...shes a good ole girl too....but man,I loved that damn dog

There are English Springer spaniels, one English Cocker and one sprocker (springer/cocker cross). I work about 8 at a time. they are cheaper than beaters and only require feeding and exercise whilst the kids drain my bank account.
When any of you come over look me up. I was deer counting in a new wood today, wrong spot to seethe deer but heard plenty including Muntjac, I also saw plenty of pheasants!
