WW2 bomber crew sidearms

Hello , I have been given , from my wife's uncle a blue RAF web holster in which he carried a Webley . He was amid upper gunner on a Halifax with 36 missions over Europe. How many others in his crew had side arms I don't know , but he indeed did. He turned the Webley in at the end of the war but kept the holster. Several years ago I had a Webley stamped RAF in my collection , which now I wish I had back to go with this holster. You always sell the ones you shouldn't have!

Not sure about Canadian crews, but most American flyers in the Pacific carried S&W Victory Model revolvers with 4" barrels in .38SPL. The RCAF had lots of 5" Victory revolvers in stores, all in .38-200, but not sure how many actually went aloft in aircraft.

My grandfather flew two tours in WW2 with the RCAF as a navigator on the Lancasters. He carried a S&W Victory in .380.
