WW2 clones

OK, I'll play, a Borchardt based carbine, say a 14in barrel, hell lets go 16, with 50rd mags...
Now incase you say no, cuz you do say that alot, how about a cheapy bolt action in 223 Rem, that just happens to take AR mags, and comes with a couple of 30 rounders marked "Canam Bolt Action Azzkicker Rifle Only" on them...hunh?

Honestly guys. This idea is a pipedream.

We won't see cheap copies of most milsurps.

Let's look at the AIA Enfields as an example. A surplus enfield is $3-500-ish, and a new AIA Enfield is $800-ish.

The processes to build old guns were much more labour intensive, and machine intensive. Compare a #4 receiver to a Remington 700 receiver. Think about how many seperate machining operations it would take to make a #4 vs a 700.

Not worth it.

NS

(Coming from someone who's actually built his own milsurp clone.)

I know that even mentioning this is futile, but I can dream. Can't I? :p

Thompson 1928 c/w cutts-type compensator, finned barrel and 50 drum mag. Even with my 12.3 & 12.5 I can't find one. And the ones I do find are ridiculously priced.

well, let me guess...sorry, the canada mkt is not big enough to be economic viable.

Just a thought for you fine gentlemen at Canada Ammo.I think that if you got your Chinese connection to reverse engineer some of the popular ww2 guns in affordable, accessible ammo I think they would be a great hit!
Just a thought....

Its not a military copy, but a really simple blowback kind of pistol caliber carbine would be really cool. Something Ruger PC-9ish in concept.

The Hi Points are cheap, but restricted. A 19" barreled carbine that took pistol magazines would be very cool.

I would like to see:

M1 Garand (Norinco and poly tech already make the m14/m305). I wonder how difficult it would be to manufacture it?

I agree, also a cheap ruger mini 14/30 would be cool.
