WW2 Helmets

I know these aren't rifles but they are pretty interesting. So the story is my grandparents had an antique/thrift store in Whitehorse and a guy brings in some old ww2 stuff, helmets and the like. So I managed to get the helmets and I'm just wondering what the first one is from what I can tell its a Swedish M26 helmet but the origin of the 21 has me at a loss. The second one is a pretty rough MK2 pattern British helmet and the story behind that one is apparently the guy who wore it was a paratrooper and got shot in the head and the bullet ricocheted off the helmet thus leaving the dent as for the name I can't confirm if its the name of the wearer or not.

Cool helmets! Not to poo poo the story, but that dent looks like it fell off a table. Picture a 180 grain plus bullet travelling at high speed contacting relatively thin metal at that angle and barely scratching the paint...

Nice helmets! However, I'm going to have to say that the Mk. II wasn't issued to a paratrooper as they used a different type of helmet.

I did a few searches and I think your referring to the Swedish M21 helmet which has the crowns and a crest stamped on it as well as the rolled rim, I also looked for the Norwegian M31 helmet which while similar seems to have larger rivets while I'm not sure of the exact number on the M31 this has six smaller rivets around the helmet. Also sorry for the double post, my computer is being stupid.

Knowing the Swedes, they probably replaced the rivets anytime a spec of rust appeared .

Something I just learned from a quick internet search, The MK2 helmet is a Canadian MK2 size 7 and the liner at least was made in Toronto at the Viceroy Manufacturing Company as for the helmet body its still a mystery.

Lucite, the VMC maker's mark refers just to the liner, not the helmet itself. The manufacturer's mark and the date are usually stamped on the inside of the shell at the front.
