I find it quite interesting that in the Edwardian era, the cutting edge military industrial technology was British through and through. The Americans copied a significant # of British designs *P-14 adapted as the M1917 rifle, the 6" Newton mortar, the 9.45" mortar, .303 Lee Enfield was allegedly widely used by the "Sammies" (no offence).

Flying Pig: you do NOT wanta be where that baby lands!

Projectiles wobbled in flight, made a "whah-whah-whah" noise as they came in.

REALLY slow; you could watch them easily.

Couple hundred pounds of Lyddite could absolutely ruin your day.
