Another very impressive war museum is in Belgium, Canadian , Polish War Museum in Adegem, close to Antwerpen.

Dinant Fortress - very famous and very pretty town with imposing Fort on the high ground.

Superb WWII displays and a heaven for the WWII German collector!

Nice image of the modified MG08/15 inter-war version. 08s and 08/15s were used in WWII for fortifications or block defence.

There are several sites to visit not just one camp area.

A lot of the German administration buildings are typical German military barracks style.

Additional service accommodation and troop billets were outside the internal perimeter fence. Who the 'guarding troops' were is still a bone of contention.

Although there is a lot to see, and it soon arguably becomes the ''norm'' some key aspects remind the visitor just what this was all about.

I hope the images generate some interest and although there are many camps of this nature this ought to be a 'target of choice' if ever in the area.
