I'm not sure if this is the right forum, so mods please move if here is inappropriate.

I have a WWII Silver Star and chest ribbon in the original presentation box which has been in my possession for several years (recipient unknown).

Does anyone know where/how I can determine what it's worth?

TIA,

Wolf

There are any number of websites for medals' dealers. Use your Goofle-fu to see what turns up. Without provenance, you've got a Silver Star and it might have an auction value of $XX but not $###X. If you don't like their prices, you can always put it on epay and set a fairly high threshhold price.

Got proof it's real? There are lots of repro's of nearly everything. On the evil anti-firearm ownership empire know as E-Bay, they run about $35 to $70 US. Won't be worth that much in Canada unless you can find out who it belongs to and can find a collector who wants it.
Rummage around here. No W's. quanonline.com/military/military_reference/american/wwii_medals/silver_star.php
