I finished a restoration of a sporter I got off a fellow CGNer :dancingbanana:
Some of you may remember it. Here it is pre-restoration:

The tough part was to get the sights replaced, but I let my gunsmith take care of that as they are soldered on. Now to take her to the range...:D and source a cleaning rod and sling :(
 
Springfield Sporters used to be a source for stocks. I was able to buy a couple sets and set them aside for just such a restoration. They are sold out now, good thing I bought some to keep on hand :D

I see stocks every now and then on ebay.
 
Heven't shot it yet, but I'm pretty sure I may have to tweak the sights now that they have been replaced, but I might get lucky. Next trip to the range she's coming with me for sure!
