just picked up a used x-five, and the previous owner cleaned the heck out of the frame with something abrasive and now it looks "polished" in a few spots. Who can refinish the frame of this type of gun (stainless obviously) and make it look new again? $$$?

Barrett at Armacoat can make it right

interesting. Can it be done to stainless the same way as it was to your blued one? Have you shot it since getting this done? How does it look now?

Yes it looks the same on stainless as it does on carbon steel. I've shot about 500 through it since finishing the build and holster it routinely, finish is still flawless.

That usually makes a mess. Over polishing/buffing rounds off all the corners and edges and even if you call it "dehorned" when you're done, it will still look like a Sig suppository....

Have it blasted. Good as new.

Certainly no paint.
