X - Bolt 300WSM

I run an A-Bolt Medallion LH in 300WSM. I really like shooting it. I've never had any issues feeding or ejecting cartridges. Recoil is there, but I am big enough to handle it so I may be the wrong person to comment on that. Accuracy is pretty good so far. But I have not ran a whole lot of different grains and brands through it.

Anyone use one? How is it for recoil, accuracy, any issues feeding cartridges or ejecting them? Cheers.

just check the trigger group to avoid any rust on that side.

i guided browning staff in northern quebec when they tried that new rifle and they had issue including the stainless version.

i like the magasine the way it is done ... not abolt for sure ...

have the 30-06 x-bolt and love it
very accurate. def has some kick to it. so far not a single feed/eject issue

I like mine it shoots very well, recoil isn't bad at all and no problems with feeding or anything else.

what issues did they have? browning staff had issues with rust on trigger group? just curious

I have a white gold xbolt in 300wsm, walnut stock, no issues, recoil is mild, no feeding issues, accurate

I'm interested in the long range hunter, but prefer a cheek rise...so I guess my only complain is macmillan isn't making a stock for the xbolt yet....everytime I ask they say there is demand, but no plans yet

I shot one a couple of months ago ..... it was a wood stock in 300 WSM. Accuracy was fine , we were only shooting 100m but the rifle groouped fine. Recoil was as expected but not harsh at all. The owner also had a micro in 243 .... That seemed handy and shot well too.

I could never get past the magazine design in the A-Bolt set up. The rifles looked good and if window stickers on trucks are any indication browning is popular around these parts ... but I always thought the A-Bolt mag was the worst of both worlds and could see myself breaking it if I ever wanted to load a mag in a hurry.

I noticed the AB3 has gone away from that magazine design .... I only saw a couple of them at a local gun shop and from the pricing I'd say there are some other differences as well as they were quite a bit cheaper than I'd expect an A Bolt to be and were less expensive than the X-Bolts that were in stock.

the trigger group is prone to rust.

we were using boat with waves and wind, rains, sleet, snow ... i cant tell why but they had to clean by removing the stock every night and not only on one.

they finished the hunt with a stainless wind mod 70.
