Hey guys, i'm sure this questions has been asked before but i cannot seem to find it. I am looking at putting a Vortex viper 4-16x50 30mm on a Hells Canyon Speed. I am looking for real world experience which scope rings to get. Low, Medium or high. The browning website says this:

*Use the Standard (low) ring height for scopes up to a 44mm objective with a standard barrel contour.
*Use the Intermediate (medium) ring height for scopes up to a 50mm objective with a standard barrel contour.
*Use the High ring height for scopes up to a 56mm objective with a standard barrel contour.

Browning says the intermediate will work. From your experience will they or should I get the highs?

Spcamno that looks like a good calculator for my purposes, but i do not have the rifle and scope in hand at the moment. The gun is enroute, just need to get the right rings now

I prefer to use scope coat than flip cover since I hunt mostly from a blind but if in stalk and hunt type situation flip cover is faster.

However, scope coat provide better protection from elements and prevent scratches on the scope unless you are really rough in equipments.
