I see they've changed it. The varmint models were all 14".

That's fairly typical. Most folks prefer lighter bullets for varmint hunting.

Browning sped up the twist on several chamberings the last couple of years, something I hope other makers will follow suit with.

I prefer the A-Bolt Medallions myself. I prefer the X-Bolt to the Tikka's but don't have much experience with Tikka.

Have an Abolt medallion in .22 hornet, nice little rifle...

I have both, I prefer the X bolt, not crazy about the stock on either. I only recently heard about problems with the X bolt magazine that some have experienced, not sure how common it is but it might give me pause.

I have owned both over the years, both are great rifles. But now I own 5 Tikkas and no Brownings.

When I was shopping for a rifle I went in and handled both. I picked the Tikka and have been very happy with all 6 I’ve bought since then. Have a friend who did the same thing ended up with the x-bolt. He is quite happy with it. My son has tried both and has a couple Tikka's now, he sold his x-bolt.

I have both and I prefer the t3. The x-bolt is a nice firearm and I’m going to keep it, but if I was going to buy again I would go with the t-3.
