x39...should I buy more...?

If you're serious about stocking up at a good price, look into bulk deals. Last summer you could get 25 cases (M43) at 135 a case.

I bought a couple of cases of portugese surplus 308 for 300 each shipped, now folks are asking a dollar a round. There wasno indication that that was going to happen.

Are there any likely sources of x39 after the czech stuff dries up? There must be some other eastern block country that has a bunch in their basement.

If not could we get Rauch/NEA/Neit to make barrels and bolts for 5.45x39.5? Problem solving already! :D

Now that the Czech republic is part of NATO, they wont be making new stuff, and their old x39 stash will be sold off eventually.
Most of our cheap stuff is from Czech.

Not true.

All the worlds ammunition facilities are for the most part busy making whatever they can x35, 5.56 etc. New production x39 flies off the production line every day.

Lots of 7.62x39 being produced all over the world, just look at what's available on US websites. But it's all more expensive than the surplus Czech stuff we've been enjoying, even if we could get Wolf, Golden Tiger, or Silver Bear into Canada...

Buying ammo is always smart, it seems to appreciate faster than most investments!
