There are actually 10/30 and 10/20 LAR-15 mags, they are crimped and made by ASC. The 20 rounders are a bit rare these days, I own the 10/30’s myself and they run alright. I still prefer using my cross mags and regular pinned pmags.

Thanks much guys (thegazelle and 2008reedges), I'm off on the hunt for ASC magazines! OP, forgive the derail.

This isn't exclusive to the Tavor. It's a constant struggle with pinned and crimped magazines in a lot of guns in Canada. The improper riveting and crimping can adversely affect the proper function of the follower and magazine. It's immensely annoying how I had to rotate different brands between my AR's and Tavors.
