its green and wedged in altho lots of people have no issue. i personally dont like it bcos organic material will disintegrate.

Have you ever taken apart an AR15 bolt? It's very similar.

I don't think it's literally rubber, probably some kind of polymer

Routinely, a few dirty ones in the lock up currently (I refuse to clean what I'll be forced to turn in.).
