I love it when I read that. Both styles of charging handles are used by the IDF, just like the round handguard is "IDF" and the picatinny handguard is not... which is 100% NOT true.

Uhhh-huh.
Handguards? Yup, 100%. Lots of different versions in use over the years in various places.
Charging handle? I've never seen a photo of anyone other than American civilian rifles using the "retrofit" TAR-21 charging handle on their X95s
Versus this pain in the butt:
The IDF's latest issue X95 has the new (short) handguards, but they've gone back to the 15" barrel.
I also have never seen a photo of an X95 in IDF service without the curved charging handle.
Interesting that the handguard crossbolt uses a flathead screwdriver instead of a hex key.

That's an odd way of saying "I'm illiterate."
By I've never seen a photo, I mean I've never seen a photo. You can read further into that if you'd like if it makes you feel better. But I'm always interested in learning more minutae of my favourite rifle.
