X95 MSW Return/Deactivation - Please Read

There is no question of jurisdiction in the X95 case. The federal government by sending me/us/you the revocation notice concedes that the provincial court has jurisdiction.

I am not the original purchaser of my X95, it has changed multiple owners. How can I get my store credit once I send my X95 in for deactivation.

I feel like you may be WAY late to the party my guy
Why would you say that? I legally own a X95 illegally (RCMP allegation) imported by NS. What party, this has been nothing but a nightmare. Just because I’ve been dealing with this for a year doesn’t change the responsibility of the original importer or the facts. I’m glad that your “feelings” don’t really mean anything “my guy” lol

Btw. In general for Non-Restricted rifles that so called become banned how do people even know? Government does not do a good job of communicating this plus the list is huge.
Lets say for an old cart that does not do all the online reading and forums how would they know they can't use it at the range etc?

Give an example like Swiss Arms Sg540. Non restricted. Then banned...
Msw x95 Non-Restricted. Same thing

I had to track down the original purchaser of my MSR X95 in order to have him claim the credit, then "spend" it on a $2K optic which he then had to ship to me (at my expense, of course). That was a pain in the arse, but was the only way forward.

Best of luck!

I hear what you're saying, but being a gun owner in a quasi-socialist country that continually attacks us you should be on the ball with current regs. A lot of the "old farts" here stay on top of things in order to keep their collections unmolested.

That said, my late father never bothered to keep up on changes and kept his guns in the closet.

Mine was converted NR. First thing I did when I bought it was get it converted.
Just like everyone else I got the letter. Then threatening phone calls from the RCMP/CFP.
They corresponded with local police and sent an officer to pick it up.
Not worth a record over a rifle.
Once it is registered consider it always registered.
I considered it a $2K+ lesson. Some lessons are more expensive than others.

Fascinating and shocking detail revealed about restricted to NR conversions not totally off the books. Maybe this is exclusive FA plausible rifles?

Or this proves anything is possible and the crown will always come for you!

I mean if you converted it from R to NR the RCMP will still have that firearms info on file tied to you...with it being NR though we all know you sold it mere days later and gosh darn you can't remember who the buyer was

What dead line. My Revocation is in appeal. Like I said I’m a legal owner of this X95 still in my possession. I haven’t seen any dead line in sight. My issue is with NS. If I want to send my X95 in then why should the original owner get the store credit. If you by a Ford from someone, who got it for someone else, who bought it from the dealer and then Ford let’s say issues a recall on that truck. Now you are the new owner and take it to Ford, does it make any sense that they Credit the guy who bought it from the dealership and leave you with nothing? Absolutely not, there is laws to protect the consumers from the legal liabilities of importers and distributors. Look it up, I have, and just so you know there are no “deadlines” on these liabilities. You (distributor) is always responsible for the “lose and suffering” that you product may have. I’m looking to NS to correct this BS as I’m the owner and I should receive the credit. It doesn’t cost them any extra. It will cost them extra when I file a civil suit and they have the court costs added onto the credit.

Might still have amnesty until his appeal is heard (did you file an appeal bassman..?)
Yes, I was one of the first ones to file an appeal (S.74). At the moment we haven’t even had a pre trial hearing. They (RCMP) are trying to prepare redacted affidavit, publication bans, and consolidation of all the cases to be heard by one judge (a liberal one). I will probably be dealing with this for years to come, since it’s already been a year. Luckily there are some good lawyers and weapons experts on this case and from what I’ve seen the RCMP is scared because they were wrong. These firearms are and always were Semi auto and left the factory that way. Nothing about the MSW is Automatic. I’m just tired of waiting and I’m looking to get my money out of this rifle, since even when I get to keep it will never see the light of day lol. The sooner I can get my credit the better, since that 2.5K is worth half of what it was worth when I bought this firearm. Thanks Trudeau (sarcasm)
