X95 Non restricted whos getting one ?

The way I see it, the need to not disappoint some customers on delivery schedule caused the vendor to make some component decisions that disappointed other subset of customers on product configuration.

While it is fair for the schedule crowd to go happily play with this product as is.
It is also fair for those who had certain configuration expectations based on advertising photos to express their disappointment.
If I'm happy with this product as is, I would focus on playing with my new toy, my satisfaction would not be derived from everyone else being equally happy.

I have no skin in the game, just my 2 cents.

This had nothing to do with timeline in my opinion, otherwise what is the excuse for US having the same CH? This is simply a matter of the importer having said "yes this sample is an accurate representation of the final product" when in reality ours our being made on the IWI assembly line to US x95 Spec with no changes. Now you might say "but the US doesn't have 18.5" barreled x95's!" And while that is true, we got the first shipment, the US is getting them as well asap and I am willing to bet IRG is going to make NS stay competitive price wise because the US Tavor x95's are not any classification or technical specification different from the ones that come to Canada directly from the IWI Israel assembly line.

Either way, while I am disappointed in the difference, in the end all I really care about is if I can get the current gen CH to rectify the issue.

I too, would have preferred the charging handle that was advertised. I can't say that I am not disappointed and feel a little mislead. Maybe, if enough of us complain, NS will try to rectify the situation for those of us who supported them by pre-ordering their first shipment of these rifles.
That being said, I have still not received shipping notice from Wolverine. Had I known Reliable would have them in stock before my order was even shipped, I would have shopped local.

Sorry to ask but whats the 10% tax savings?

Come on Stormy you should know this one. Why do you think I always had you buy my rifles in Alberta and ship to me? 12% vs 5% is a decent savings when your playing in the NR black rifle price market. I generally only order outside my own province(BC) and always get the tax savings.

While some are debating about the CH, when is mine coming, range reports, etc., let me put this in perspective. I ordered from a supplier, paid my $500 deposit some time ago and, like you all waited and waited for them to arrive. Just happened to phone about some other parts when they said the X95"s had just arrived. Yay! Waited patiently for my email stating it was on it's way. Called 3 days later and was told that the order was short shipped. My X95 was not there. I ordered FDE and they have no idea, after contacting NS, when more would be coming from Israel. I was told I might be able to get a black one in a couple of weeks. At this point in time I wouldn't care if it had a Lego CH- just wanted to get my rifle like everyone else. This one is hard to swallow as I see they now have some FDE available here in BC. This was to be my first Tavor. Sure hope it's worth the (extra) wait.

Rugerman: I think we may have ordered from the same dealer. Paid off my FDE total on Thursday and was planning to drive out and pick it up on Tuesday.

Guess I better phone ahead to make sure there is one there with my name on it.

I got the call and paid on thurs and then silence too. Hearing about the colour issue you are having makes me glad I like black rifles.

My biggest issue right now is whether or not I go with an os4x on top or just a dot

Good idea. I would think that if they accepted your full payment they have it. When I called about my X95 I wanted to pay it off as I didn't want any further delays. That is when they said there was no rush on the full payment as they didn't have mine. They said I would be the first one to get one in the next shipment but they said they had no idea when that would be. I don't blame them as they were told their order would be filled no problem but then they were shortshipped. They were pretty embarrassed but, as I said, it's not their fault. I feel some loyalty to this company as they have been good to me over the years. At the same time it bugs me to see stores in BC, Ontario, and other places have the FDE at the same price available now.

If I recall correctly, some folk on bullpup forum weren't too thrilled about the charging handle switcharoo either.

Well why wouldn't they be? I can just see IWI come out with a "upgraded" charging handle, and milk some more money out of us. They and the importer falsely advertised it

Actual specs will show the Tar-21 is actually lighter by a couple ounces. ;)

That's really interesting because it really feels lighter. The X95 must have better weight distribution.

I've never seen the original charging handle these guys are one about, but now that you guys mentioned it, I did notice there was a certain cheapness about the charging handle on the one I handled.
