Good morning,

I'm seeking fellow CGN advice on for my new FDE X95:

I'm looking to shoot it at 200-250m, and I would like for experts to chime in as for dots/optics/etc.

If you have recommendations for bipods, grips, etc, I'm all ears also!

I just ordered the thinner butt plate from iwiusa, which shortens it by about 1". Current length from flash hider to plate: 29.5". Projected length with thin butt plate: 28.5". I'm also looking for a smaller flash hider :)

Cheers!

ps that's a 10rd MFT mag in there... way less cumbersome that a 30/5 round mag.
pps that scope on there is a 3-9x40 just for shirts & giggles...

X95 vs M4 (x95 is 1.75" shorter):

Things I put on:

1) Arms Swan sleeve - to bring the rail mounting and stock cheek position to the same height relationship as AR15

2) Aimpoint - using standard 1/3 co-witness mount for AR15.

3) IDF butt plate - the best improvement, everyone should swap out their rubber ones. Much faster roll out from low/high ready position to firing position. Butt no longer gets "stuck"on the shoulder.

4) I mount the charging handle on the right - so it won't interfere with light mounting, sling and it is easier to do IA that requires locking bolt to the rear.

5) Bipod - I use an old polymer QD forbus harris mount. Works well with the plastic rail of X95.

had 3 vortex incl strike eagle---unless its razor the quality sucked---all had problems and poor glass compared to my leupold-trijicon-nf found even burris to be better-in my opinion
