For all of the hassle Microsoft makes you go through to satisfy their end of the warranty, I'd just blow the damn thing up and buy a PS3. Had my PS3 for a year and a half now and have had no problems ever. I'm not trying to hijack the thread or start a console debate on the black rifle forum, just giving my two Canadian pennies to the poll.

hassle? all i've ever heard of people needing to do was call in and say it red ringed and then they sent you a box

i would call before putting holes in it


unless of course you don't want a new one... in that case, fire away

really its no hassle at all. if your box is untouched and the ring of death came on, i cannot tell you how more simple it is than just calling it in, they send a coffin, you send it back.. wait 2 weeks. its working again.

I think a lot of people want you to shoot it because they would never dream of shooting theres and want to see it done... If your fed up of it and do not want to waste time repairing, take it to the range, but in all honesty it is very effortless and quick to get a replacement.

hahah this has to be one of the greatest threads ever. Nuke that s.o.b. Im on my 5th console and my warrentee just ran out so when this one goes its geting a slug, 10 9mm's and 8 rounds of buckshot. then ill take pictures and send them to mr. gates to let him know how much i enjoyed his over priced piece of crap.
