XCR 7.62x39 Pistol Mags Update?

Has anyone seen these for sale recently? I am on the backorder list for Wolverine, but would really like to get at least a couple before that ship comes in.

Any leads, tips welcome.

been waiting a while now too, got all the parts for 7.62 AR but cant find the damn mags

when I looked last at wolverine, they had hundreds, then a week later 0

I will give them a call. My CSA mag well adapter arrived today and I am anxious to try it out in the vz58.

emailed reliable as well, no reply yet

the barrel was a lucky find on the EE, the bolt is probably the most unobtainium part though, took months to find, also got lucky a dealer had one

The best info is in posts #2 and 7. The adapter is the CSA 5.56 one with the lugs that stick into the middle of the mag cut off to allow x39 cartridges to feed through.

I will have to keep my eyes open. I was just talking to Jerry at Mystic Precision about a McGowan barrel and he figures delivery is 6-12 months at this point. 5.56 is faster, as they are cranking those out regularly, but 7.62x39 is a real oddball for them so it would sit for a quite a while before they got to it.

Which dealer had the bolt, if you don't mind sharing? I was going to talk to Questar and OST first to see what delivery on one might be, but haven't got that far yet. What brand did you get? I was going to hold out for the LMT since it is the weak link and I am not interested in grenading a bolt along the way.

cool so it is do-able, just not guaranteed by CSA

I never planned on a 7.62 build, but the barrel showed up and it was hard to resist. I will be putting the upper together next weekend, but I did hand tight assemble the barrel to the upper receiver and ran the bolt to feed 7.62 through .223 lar mags and it seemed to work fine with 3 rounds, but would jam if I put in 5

mind you, I wont be running corrosive through it, and price of non corrosive is more than .223 costs

bolt is DPMS, bought from fabsports, they only had 1, and that was 2 months ago. Probably not as good as the other brands, but 1 bolt is better than 0 bolts

Hey mmattockx, keep us updated on your experience with the magwell adapter. If enough success is achieved, I might convince myself to track down a magwell adapter.
